Sara E. Salen DNP, MSN, RN, NPD-BC

As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist/Practitioner (NPD), Sara is responsible for the orientation/on-boarding, initial and ongoing educational needs, initial and annual competency management, role development, quality improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidenced based practice needs for different service lines within her organization. These include but are not limited to: critical care, heart and vascular, trauma, emergency medicine, peri-operative services, and resource team. She is also responsible for the assessment, development, implantation, and evaluation of educational and practice needs within areas of coverage. She is the Coordinator for the Targeted Temperature Management Program (TTM), leading an inter-disciplinary team to re-develop and implement the TTM program at the organization.
